My spring break

Spring break 2014 is a breakthrough for me. It was fun to able doing my painting hobby. With the help from my friend Veronica Ortiz, I was able to paint. She support me by give me inspiration and help me to get my painting supplies. This hobby I have since I was a kid, but my environment doesn't support it. My family have no idea about art. Most of them do accounting or marketing for living. Unfortunately I don't like math, so i trying to show my interest in art. My parent forced me to learn math when I was a kid. Because of my disobedience i got spanks almost every day.

Most of my painting is flowers, because I like to draw flowers and imagine it in my head so much easier to translate it in my canvas.

For me painting is also a stress relief....every time after painting, I feel so happy and love about what I did.

Passover celebration at My church

Last Saturday, April 19th,2014 was a passover celebration of the Jesus Christ. The event was providing fun for children. There are many kids in my church. The range of their ages are about from new born to toddler, there are also older kids and teenagers. We provide fun with games, teaching, and a lot of exciting activities.

It was started by singing some christian songs. They were very excited and singing enthusiastic.

some of the game was a race to open chapters in Bible. The fastest is the winner. They were very competitive.

The toddler was playing modeling clay to build whatever they like. They try to be creative and they brought the result home.

At the end they having fellowship with others by having meal together...

My church is not a church of one religion. We accept what ever you are....We believe in Jesus Christ. It is not an religion but its a act of life.

LaGuardia Family project- Veronica Ortiz- Dark style painter

My Original Story board. I admit it changed trough the project. Sometime we just have to be flexible.

Her art is influenced by her past, present, good memories and bad. Controlled by her emotion. Her inspiration is her life itself. She let her life  to lead her creativity.

Most of her work are consider to be dark and disturbing, mysterious to some audience. Some may considered to be beautiful and majestic, easy to read. she is open to many different styles.

She adapted to many different artist from all era's.  Who mostly she look up to is Salvador dali ,Gustave Klimt, Francisco de Goya, Rembrandt, Degas, and many more.

If she were to choose between darkness and beauty. she would choose darkness, because its more powerful and it's mystery has audience question.

However the type of art that she enjoy in doing is the type of art that is found to be offensive and not accepted.

They're time's when she feel inspired, only to pick up a paint brush leaving an unfinished canvas go to waste.

She looks like ordinary like others. She is a nice home girl, she love her family and she loves being with them. But what you see might not what the real she is.

She majoring Commercial Photography at LaGuardia community College. Her passion in large format photography is unique. She said "Not all of my imagination could be photographed there for I keep painting"

She is a strong women. I would say one of the kind. Very rare that I can find personality like her. She is independent, firm, calm, but at the same time I feel she is very pure and fragile.

She likes to keep memories. whether its bad or good. "It is my inspiration" she said

I could take hours, days, weeks, or moths for her to paint. It's all depend on her mood. She listen to music when she paint. Most of the time "Rock"

She could absorb inspiration from her surrounding. There for she is very sensitive person. Color mix
and stains are a game changer.

This image was created to be exhibited in high school she used to be. It was censored by the officials because they worried it would often some one. Before they worried about anybody, the artist was already offended.

She was not very welcoming at first. But I have to take chance to know who she is. I feel honored to be part of her life story.

At the end of the day, she is at her favorite spot. Eating fruits which fit to her diet program. She said " It's Me time"

De Tielman Brothers - Proudly Indonesia Rock

Rock Music was invented by Indonesian!!!!!  The Tielman Brothers was the first Dutch East Indies (Dutch-Indo) band to successfully venture into the international music scene in the 1950s. They were one of the pioneers of rock and roll in The Netherlands, later becoming famous in Europe for playing a kind of rock and roll later called Indorock, a fusion of Indonesian and Western music with roots in Kroncong. History: The founders of the band are the children of Herman Tielman from Kupang and Flora Lorine Hess. Although not the first band, the Tielman Brothers were at the forefront of what was later called the Indorock scene. In March 2014 the last remaining member, Reggy Tielman, died aged 80. His brothers Andy (in 2011), Ponthon (2000) and Loulou (1994) preceded him.
